Halloween is an annual holiday observed on October 31, which includes activities such as trick-or-treating, attending costume parties, carving jack-o'-lanterns, bonfires and playing pranks. It has a pagan origin and the most celebrated of holidays. Being brought Roman Catholic, I was taught it was the eve before "All Saint's Day, which was a holy day of obligation. My grandmother when I was a child, used to fix an exquisite banquet for our family.
