Some people have created multiple groups. Nothing wrong with that. However you should think about the fact all your groups need maitenance and supervision. When you start a group it will take some time to get members for it. As long as meber numbers are small It is manageble now but what if your groups gets hundreds of active of members in the future? You won't be able to keep up with all. Nor can the admins. We keep an eye open but can not see all. Sure you can appoint others to help you but you must find people willing to do so first! Therefore I think it is best to limite yourself in creating groups. As a group owner try to engage your members i.e. by asking questions or opnions; or what ever stimulates your members to action.
When you have certain interests you can first take a look if there is already an existing group covering that. This way the action will be more centralized.
