Global Warming has nothing to do with the natural evolution of the planet. Global warming is 100% man made. It is caused by man's greed and lust for $$$$. Sure chopping down trees was necessary for building houses. But once technologies were invented that offered alternatives shouldn't those be employed instead? We need the trees to filter the very air we breath, to keep us alive.
Yes it is nice to have running water, especially when we use the bathroom. But don't you think that by down man could have invented a better way to get rid of the sewage than to dump it into the rivers that lead into the ocean's and sea's from where we get:
A) drinking water
B) seafood - yes food to eat
Driving a nice car is awesome. I own two. But you do know that the technology for hybred and/or electric cars has been around at least since the 1970's right?
Yes I agree that nature plays a role in earth's evolution. The shifting of land mass created the contenents, that was natural. Katrina and the Tsunami's that followed are natural. Exon oil spill and the more recent BP oil spill, not natural.
If we believe that the earth is a ball, a globe that is covered by a thin layer of gas called the atmosphere, then isn't obvious that emitting poisonous gases into the atmosphere will soon deplete it? The atmosphere is not infinite. It is very finite. For example if you have a giant balloon and begin to slowly fill it with air, it may seem insignificant at first because the balloon is so big and air is only trickling in. But after a year that balloon no longer looks the same. That little trickle no longer looks insignificant because it is very noticeable that the trickle has in fact affected the balloon. That is what is happening with the atmosphere. All the pollutants are being trapped in the atmosphere and it is affecting the earth's natural interaction with the sun. Hot days are getting hotter, cold days are getting colder. Parts of the earth that were snow covered are now brown land masses, and water is becoming more scarce. We are already paying for bottled water, soon we may be paying for canned clean air to breathe.
I'm an old man, I was around for the first earth day. Back then, late 1960's and early 1970's everyone scoffed at the "Hippie" nut jobs. They were not nuts they were taking the first steps toward saving the earth.
People called the Indians (native Americans) savage but they in fact were the first nature conservationist. They worshiped the earth and protected it. Killed animals only for food not sport, and did not pollute the water or the air.
So you tell me, who is the real savage.
