I am of the mind that "incentives+motivation+prospects= SALES" and that strategy has been around since humans started to "sell" items to other humans.
There are several online companies that meet this B2B precept with products, programs and services that are designed to "enhance " the sales relationship even before the actual "needs " of the prospect has been identified.
Branding and Product Placement are certainly examples of marketing strategies that are meant to lead to sales.
Give- A-Ways that are attached to standard marketing practices like the four "P's"- will strengthen the probability of a positive sales relationship.
Given the fact that "Give-A-Way " sales platforms aren't going away any time soon and that these relatively effective approached have even become an expectation in darn near every relationship in Human societies all over the Planet-- I would answer you query with a resounding yes!
