Have you considered getting together with a local group and discussing this? I assume that as you are asking here you are trying to do this alone and you are having difficulties. The sensible ting to do is to get professional support in your local area.
First find out what "meditation" means to you. There are many different ways to meditate and you may need to adjust your practice for your own individual needs. For me meditation is as simple as quiet time spent reflecting on issues and situations that I need to think deeply on. No specific position etc just sitting in a chair quietly works. I would feel like an idiot sitting in a lotus position and chanting "Ohm". Of course I also realize that meditation won't always end with a flash of brilliance either. Sometime it just subtly makes things clearer
First go to a quiet place alone then make sure the TV, radio, and cell phone are OFF. Be sure you are open to all that He wants to say to you by having your Bible with you.
Not hard, Just have to do it at the right time and day. Best is weekend or when your not stressed out.
Must have a empty stomach cause food makes you sleepy. add in some waterfall music and a fan to intake oxygen while you do it.
I once heard,"When the mind is silent it is called meditation",I know it sounds good but hard to do with thousands of thoughts every day.The Best Way for me is Reviewing your presense ,i mean see whatever thoughts or views that arises when you try to meditate ,don't suppress the feeling ,just let it flow.
Relax. Point number one but more importantly practice patience.
Do not expect anything.
I have recently learned that some prefer to meditate between 2 and 3 a.m..
Realistically however, for those with family and other commitments that 2 a.m. meditation may interfere with, others have found that 7 a.m. works just as well.
I have also found meditating the same time each day helps your mind and body set into the routine, therefore eventually making it easier to accomplish.
Just relax my friend and enjoy!
