Organic foods are made according to certain production standards. For the vast majority of human history, agriculture can be described as organic; only during the 20th century was a large supply of new synthetic chemicals introduced to the food supply. This more recent style of production is referred to as "conventional." Under organic production, the use of conventional non-organic pesticides, insecticides and herbicides is greatly restricted and saved as a last resort. Afraid I have zero faith in it. It is my opinion that the lable organic is just an excuse to charge way over the top of what are already exorbitant prices.

WOW, sounds health almost, not very much faith at all............organic has a nice creative way of getting attention, like it got my attention..............l try to found faith in organically processed foods, why would you not..........until you taste it, then you will know that answer...............how you been any how, is this getting of topic...............:}

I was looking at the meats the last time I was in the store and I was seeing Organic on things like eggs and milk. So the question becomes even though they aren't introducing chemicals etc directly into the animal, what about chemicals introduced INdirectly such as through the feed. Is this still organic or not? If you are feeding chickens corn that has been genetically altered for some reason How is that organic. When I say "genetically altered" I'm not talking about cross breeding different strains of corn but going in and tampering with the corn chemically.

Well here in Denmark where i am from, they are very strickt with not handing out the label organic to every thing. Organic fruits and vegetables has 25% more minerals and vitamins in them than ordinary. Besiddes that i think organic food tastes better and it is better to produce food organic because then you do not drain the earth for nutrition when the plants grow.

I always thought Organic was when I put cow and horse poop for a replacement for store bought fertilizer. And yes it will taste different.

That's the problem Darryl when speaking "Organic" what exactly Does it mean? When I was Small My Grandfather would use the poop he had cleaned out of the chicken coop as fertilizer. So is that organic when it comes to food production? When the chickens are eating chemically altered grains, don't those chemicals come out the other end? And then when you are using the poop, aren't you now using chemicals to fertilize?
