The easiest way is to set up a blog site and make it popular! That way you'll earn from ads that you place on it PLUS if the blog is good, you can get paid to put content on it!!

There are a few ways to make money with a free site and a blog is one of them but there is work that has to be done first - you just can put up a blog and start making money - you have to get yourself branded (let people know who you are) and give out some great content so that others start trusting you - without that you are floating in an ocean of blogs with no traffic and no traffic means no money.

can you open a business in your town with no money? i know you cant. If you are opening a site to do business with then you will not help yourself. if its a site for pleasure then yes do things free.

A lot of online earning sites, will give you link for that site. That site is predesigned and intended for members or affiliates. It is embedded in it, your personal ID in that particular program and when people click on it they will be driven to that site, with which these clicks are also automatically monitored by that program. You just have to advertise that site and earn from it.

Affiliate sites are Not your own so don't let them cloud the issue raised in your question. YOU do not build them and they are the epitome of duplicated content. Stick with your original intent and build your own site, use cheap local resources to get visitors and provide what the visitors believe that they will be getting. Making your own site is EASY and it will be unique. A little work and it will be successful.

@vpsmalhotra Thank you for recommending me as a mentor. I will help anyone I can - but they must show the intent to be willing to learn before i take them on specifically. I am currently running a test training with 4 guinea pigs and if the course produces the results we are aiming for, I will run it again but It will not be free and it will not be for those easily offended.

To construct an actual website will cost unless you know how to use web language ect, ect. Also there are hosting costs. Perhaps the best way to go is to investigate blogs.

Sure, you can either make a web page and offer products for sale or review products and services as an affiliate. You can also write reviews and use social bookmarks to get traffic to your reviews which may earn you affiliate commissions ... but it's important you do these things well, write with some degree of insight and share good information or nobody will take note of it

Like a few are pointing here, you could start with affiliate programs and monetize them with AdSense. The only issue that I see with starting with no investment is that if you're writing reviews of products or services, at least you need to be using them i.e. buying the service or product first. My recommendation is don't spend too much time avoiding not to invest. You'll regret it later, start doing smart investments, get a mentor as well or someone who already is making money online and take all the shortcuts.

You dont have much freedom in free website, you can start a website for only $45 include 1 domain and hosting for 1 year, then install a wordpress write a review with your affiliate link, then monetize it with google adsense and other publisher network. This based in my experience.
