I actually missed the game and the halftime show but I spoke to several friends from High school (The Who was still actively recording at the time thank you), who thought that it was passable but not really worth it. Not that the playing was bad but that the set they chose to play was not chosen to really showcase them. Who songs do not lend themselves well to "medleys". They are too complex, by trying to fit them into a medley the song loses something.
I will say more power to Roger and the boys to be up there rocking on stage instead of sitting on their butts rocking in a chair!
