Most of the time people looks for a free ride, they want to earn without efforts and when they see that there is an effort or money involved, they run .. people don't want to come out of their comfort zone ...

a lot of people simple don't want to do the work they want to watch tv, Doing a business is only for motivated people and most of them simple don't believe that they can do it

I think it's because reality hits and it's as much as an job as any job. Just because you're home doesn't mean you don't have to treat it like a job.

When People Say they want to Earn from Home, they do mean it. But they cannot take Action due to two reasons: 1) They are doubtful about the available-opportunity, as they have been repeatedly robbed by Gurus without any return! 2) Most of them cannot Afford to pay for the 'Earning-Opportunity' leaving no choice with them, except to Lose it.

From my positive observation and online networking experiences, I find that many who "want to earn from home" have sincere intentions, but do not not have the knowledge or experience to differentiate between the legitimate work from home opportunities and the scams. .Many online business opportunity pitches and promotions have become repetitive e-book generic formats. As a result people side with caution and apprehension to be passive and take no action at all. That is the perpetual online challenge for the online marketer.

It is a known fact that only 2% of people take action when presented with a home based business. This could be due to several reasons. 1. Lack of support from upline or business. 2. Lack of knowledge about what to do. 3. Bad experiences from those GURUS/ Get Rich Quick Scheme promoters. 4. Lack of motivation. 5. Little or no financial income to invest. 5. Laziness. Online business is the same as offline business and although you work from home you would still need to train and mentor people you recruit. Like offline business not all recruits stay with the business.

Several reasons, chief among them is a desire to make A LOT of money, FAST. Well that doesn't happen. No matter what kind of program you work you will need to actually WORK to gradually make decent money. And they don't know how to pick and choose between the 1000's of programs they are being bombarded with. Many get scammed the first few times and become too cautious to try new ones.

Just throwing an opportunity at them doesn't cut the mustard. People may have good intentions to "look for some options" to expand their income, but fear plays into it as well as they get confused with everything out there. If you take some time to get to know them, build a relationship, find out their wants, needs, desires and dreams you will then understand if you and your opportunity can or will actually work for them. If it doesn't that's fine too; you still gain a new contact, relationship and friend in the process, then you can likely help each other benefit as you can learn together how to build your respective businesses. See in the end everything can be a plus-plus situation for all involved.................

Maybe the opportunity you are offering is not understandable or clear for them to see ... but the best way to find out is to ask the people you offered your opportunity to ... have you tried that yet?

Lot's of good answers here, and bottom line is building rapport. People are no longer going for the get rich quick schemes. You will have to connect, provide pertinent information, know your product, and follow up! After all else is said and done the sale is in the follow up!
