You need to have good general all around knowledge. After all you are running your own business that means you need to know about the different aspects. And yes you do need to have knowledge of the different markets. You need to know WHO to market to and HOW to go about doing your marketing.

In order to become a great Internet Marketer, you need to do your homework and look for all the answers, use searches to find the answers on the information that an Internet Marketer looks for to improve every aspect of marketing. Knowledge is very important in becoming a sociable Internet Marketer and can bring you wealth beyond your control. Just do your homework and all will fall in place.

It is necessary to have knowledge of a number of aspects to be effective on the internet and this is something that the so called "Guru's" fail to tell you

If you are pursuing your passion, you have to know your market. Different niches have different markets. With Internet marketing, you have sooooo many options to pursue, but without doing your research and targeting the right markets, you will have a really rough time!

I believe that it is most important to have knowledge of different markets to be more effective as an internet marketer. It is good to know what is hot but also to know what the competition is doing! More importantly, we need to do market research in order to develop and fine tune our product or service that we plan to provide to fulfill the needs of those in a particular niche market.
