Interesting Question and Idea. I think it is a good idea because it does not restrict or discriminate who can join, however it may attract the wrong people. Maybe you should set certain conditions before qualifying for full membership, or have some way of filtering only serious businesses. You say it is about boosting online reputation, maybe you can get some ideas from the sites that concern themselves with reputation (and ethics) and see how they may deal with this...In that way hopefully you may also deter inappropriate subscribers.
