You can use some FTP client to upload it (FileZilla, SmartFTP, FlashFXP or other) or you can log into your hosting account, go to file manager (or if you have there template manager) and change it directly.
if your hosting was any good they would tell you that - my clients are offered a training session when they start.. Use an ftp program is the best way but you can use the cpanel
