If you contact Bill Brown (Bjantiques) on the main site and send him a contact request, he has a series of tutorial articles that will help you learn how to correctly use the APSense site. There's also quite a bit of information in the APSense Wiki.

I would also recommend that you join the group Apsense 4 Newbies and follow Paula van Dunn along with what Cheryl recommended. Both these groups have thought me how to use apsense; If I didn’t have these two groups I would be lost in the woods. These tutorials in both these groups are excellent and they will guide you through the process from point A to point B, and if you don’t understand something, BJ, Cheryl, Paula will answer any questions you have. I have found that the contacts here on apsense are willing to help you achieve your goals. Don't be discourage! Once you start looking at the tutorials it will be like cutting a piece of cake.

The secret to social marketing is just being sociable. Talk of write to as many people as you feel comfortable writing to. Ask questions. learn from those who would take the time to teach you how to get around the site and what they do to help them gain status here and on other sites. APSense is not a site to make big money. Its main purpose, in my opinion, is to build relationships and partnerships. Make people trust you, some will join your opportunities. That takes time, but see it as an investment with unexpected and very nice rewards.

To understand any site, the first thing I do is to click the 'Sitemap' at the bottom of the home page. Unfortunately, APSense's Sitemap is incomplete. However, once you click the Sitemap button, you can navigate to the fifth item from the top to reach APSense Wiki (only a few minor parts are left for completion) which should be a starting point to understand the concept of Business Social Network. To put it in a nutshell, you can find all (including some spam!) you want in a social networking site without any claim or guarantee about making you money but certainly you can meet good people to interact with, learn and share. A reasonable flair for writing is positively required to communicate. Having wandered all over the internet - take my word - this is it! To start with, go to Articles and choose to read the ones that appeal to you. Read the comments and start interacting either 'Top' (the equivalent of FaceBook 'Like') or leave a comment or both or leave to go back and select another article and so on. Next, go to 'Home' page and look at the 'Network Feed' just in front of you. You will see your latest actions. Soon, your "Inbox' will show 1 or 2 or 3 messages - click and read - reply if you wish! Come back and click on some members' names and send a request for contact. You can start making contacts with people. Next, go to RevPages, then Groups...Don't forget to check the 'Group Feed' which is next to the Network Feed. By the end of the day, we both would be friends! I hope, I have tried to give a simple and straight-forward answer to get you going! There are other Add-on features listed in the Sitemap. Ah! I am longer on APSense than I care to admit. I was floundering like some that I have read here. I was uncertain where to go, what to do first, that sort of thing. Yesterday, I decided that I had to make a solid effort to get this thing working for me. I signed on to my account and my Inbox said I had mail. I went to check and it was notifications that an article I had written was getting comments. I had talked to the people before so I thought it would be a piece of cake. I was in for a shock. I read what a lousy job I was doing, and they were right. All who gave me constructive criticism did not know that they were saving me from myself. I joined ApSense as a way to get the news out about my company. But I was not letting anyone know about my company. I was sitting on my hands. I have to admit, I take full responsiblity for my mis-step in this venture. I am a Queen of multi-tasking, last night I found that it was the multi-tasking that was causing me grief. I had to shut down the other programs and pay strick attention to what I was working on. MY BUSINESS. I can only say that if it had not been for Mohann and Philippe Moisan and Paula van Dunn, I would still be sitting with my hands stuck in my pocket saying what now. I am learning that there is much I do not know but I am also learning that there are many people here willing to help when I have a problem. Just before I signed off this morning around midnight, I received an email from Philippe, he told me that my signature was not a click-able link. He also sent me a link to an information page that he wrote to show me how to do it. Yes, it took me a while but I finally got it. I read a thought tonight and I want to make it my mantra: Do not ask the Lord to guide your footsteps; if you are not willing to move your feet. Pick up those feet and you will find that you always have someone walking with you to help. :-)
