why is the the second time you say something cant be done when it actually can? who is telling you these things can not be done?

This is possible, but you must be careful when copy&paste shortener link. I noticed few times when I was in hurry that I copied also the empty space after last character and when I paste it somewhere it goes directly to URL shortener. So, be careful and everything wil be OK.
