When creating a Rev page, we are asked to pick some of the offered content. Most of it is other peoples' ads. Anyone else have a problem with including other peoples ads in ours?
NO ADVERTISING IN QUESTIONS OR ANSWERS. Do Not post Ads as Questions nor as answers to questions. Use the Search facility to see if your question has been asked before.
You can opt not to include other peoples ads into your webpage OR you can tweak your search by changing a keyword and searching again perhaps finding an ads that does not compete with your but is complimentary to what you are promoting. But then Again I use Rev Pages as review pages and only create a small fraction to promote my product. Why? Because they are flooding with dozens upon dozens of pages from everyone promoting the same or similar products meaning you get lost in the crowd.
I don't use items that offer competitors ads. Sometimes I only add one piece of content that is an article about the subject in general. If a wiki or some other informational piece is available to enhance the information I am presenting then it's a positive thing to add. Cheryl has some very excellent points and advice in her answer to your question, I would have to agree with her.
I agree with you there should be no competitors advertising on your Rev Pages. The Idea of Creating a rev page is to attract attention to your own product / service not someone elses. It is bad enough that ads are posted in our other areas and we get nothing from it.
