look up Mapquest, click on directions and type in your departure city and destination city and mapquest will not only give the estimated time it will usually give you chioces of route (Shortest time and shortest distance).

Bill answered about like I might. Since we don't know your selected mode of travel, it's hard to say. I'm from upstate NY, Saratoga Springs area and it takes me a good 16 hours of hardly stopping to make it from my home in the Greenwood SC area to there--and I'm a 9-10 miles over the limit type driver. It takes me a good 8 hours to drive from Greenwood to Ocala so if you put the two trips together, it would be safe to guess it's about 26 hours by car with not many stops. Great looking uniform! I'm originally a New Yorker. If you're a cautious driver like me, driving from New York City to Ocala, FL will take about 18 hours. That's the norm even if you stop and rest along the way. The scenic route is very nice!

I agree with bjantiques, your question is vague at best. I live near Ocala and if I were to make the trip, wich is a good 18 hour drive, I would not drive it completely through in one trip alone. There fore I would stop and get a good nights rest after the first 10 hours of driving, leaving an 8 hours remaining. Add at least 8 hours for sleeping and 1 hour for breakfast the next morning. That adds up to 27 hours total and a safe trip.
