There are, but not many. Many are blinded by the prospect of 'earning money while they sleep". There have been numerous posts about the importance to promote yourself first. But many people never read and just keep hopping from program to program hoping to find the pot with gold at the end of the rainbow.

@webmiep - That system of thought is mainly carried and spread by those who are still very much "Zombified " by the old legends of the "Get Rich Quick " marketing schemes of Web 1.0. It's very sad to think that those folks will let the very real opportunities to create and sell their own stuff pass them by, and watch infomercials all night long, looking for that lucky strike...

@ rollins- There are opportunities for anyone that can conceptualize multiple ways to use their artistic talents... I'm glad that you are holding on to your vision -- someone out there needs your imagery. You have the skills of a marketer and the resources to grow those skills. I'm quite sure that you will succeed in your endeavors, I wish that I could say that that about everyone here, though!

The creation of a worth while product or service takes "Time, Imagination & Thought" many new products that have good potential fail because they are rushed and offered for sale before they have been thoroughly tested. In my job I look at many softwares and scripts and the one outstanding feature of all of them is they have small bugs or flaws that could have easily been fixed prior to release leading to seemingly endless updates within weeks of their launch. If your going to create a product or service you need to employ some quality control measures and ensure what you offer for sale is polished bright and shiny so it works 1st time out of the box

@davegilbert -- it seems to me that there is so much of a rush to "get the money " in all cases... Creative solutions take time to nurture, if they are to last. What good can come of slackness when it comes to quality control? Everyone suffers when good ideas go bad.

I spent 35 years creating software for auto dealers and now I'm retired from all that. Now I love creating imaginative campaigns to help myself and my associates market systems that are already created and fulfilling a need for many people with even more potential in sight.

@peaceful I couldn't agree more when we develop something it could be years before we feel it's ready for release, while people see Google and other large systems seemingly releasing new features within weeks of the feature being officially released it could have been lurking around the dev tank for a couple of years waiting for the right technology required to make it work properly.

I've met a seo on the beginning of apsense couple of years ago and yes he did have his own product, and service and he did promote it here in apsense.
